Lydia Mendoza, LCSW (licensed clinical social worker), has practiced yoga for 10 years. Lydia teaches a mixture of traditional Hatha yoga and Vinyasa Flow style. She completed her teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation. She invites students to explore their relationship with self and others through their yoga practice, encouraging a deepening of compassion, acceptance, and surrender. She offers Hatha yoga classes, workshops, private yoga instruction, yoga therapy, and counseling.

About Lydia's Yoga Therapy:

Yoga therapy is the therapeutic process of using yoga postures to facilitate emotional and spiritual healing. Each session involves creating an intention about a particular issue or issues, and the use of asana (yoga postures) to facilitate increased awareness and release. The process involves both physical movement and verbal sharing. At the end of session, we revisit the intention and each client creates a mantra, ritual, or plan to support this intention in her/his life. Traditional therapy may or may not use asanas.
